We are the biggest consumers.
On the launch of #blackoutday2020 after the murder of George Floyd and in response to the killings of Blacks globally, on 07.07.2020, when our communities chose to buy black exclusively, the Dow Jones and other financial markets dropped.
It’s a reminder of how powerful we can be as a, community when we move strategically to lobby for our social and economic interests.
This year, 07.07.2022 will be used symbolically as a reminder of all African students and nationals displaced out of Ukraine and whom to this date have received so little or zero support from the EU and their governments although they paid their university fees like every other students and participated to the local economy.
